Loggel is a very modern way of keeping up with travel details and experiences.
It is basically an online travel diary that allows the person using it to share anything they want others to know in the most convenient way. Pictures/photos, text, audio/video can all be easily uploaded for the world to see as well as specifically connecting with friends and family. There is also "Geo-Tags" on this site, which allows the traveller to mark on a map of where they have been so others can track their route.

I think this site is very suitable for anyone that is travelling to use. This is because others can read the post and understand/learn more about what can be seen or done at the destination, therefore this site is also a way of 'promoting' a travel destination. It is also a good place for others to connect conveniently (without a lot of effort) so friends and family won't lose contact with each other as they can comment on others posts.

"The Theme Park"

After doing this project ‘The Theme Park’, I feel that I have improved a lot in the way how I design and use Photoshop. The project was about promoting an amusement park of our choice, which in my case, my park is called ‘Disneyland’. I had to create a leaflet in publisher, produce a poster in Photoshop, produce a presentation in PowerPoint and produce a website in Dreamweaver.

I think overall that I did a good job, I had some troubles trying to remember how to use dreamweaver, but as I went along doing to project, everything started to come back to me, so that was good. I in the future if I ever get time to go it again, I would try and make more designs, but because this project has a very limited time, I didn’t get to do as much as I would've liked much. I also hope that I can improve on the way I make my presentation, and hope to learn more techniques in the future.

For this task, we had to each create our own 2 min clip, based on something about school, (eg. School uniform, cyber bullying). From the topic we chose, we had to make a short clip that might be shown to the year seven students; and I chose to create a clip about school uniform.
It was fun making the script, as the characters just read out what you typed, but sometimes it sounds weird, because they can't really pronounce some words which are not in the dictionary. But adding the actions and camera angles were fun!

I had to be patient a lot of the times, because xtranormal takes FOREVER to load a preview, but I managed to wait in the end. I also had to wait a long time in the end when I was trying to publish the clip, but it took too long that I decided not to wait anymore. So right now I'm not very sure if I will be ever be able to let anyone see my work :'( which is a bit sad T_T (all my hard work gone).



This is what xtra normal looks like, and the loading clip in the middle happens to be mine (after 30min) T_T...if only it can play. However, I still enjoyed this task, even though it didn't work out.

wikispace presentation reflection

I did YouTube for my wikispace presentation. I thought it went alright, but I'm not very sure if i actually talked about everything that I should've said, but I hope everyone did enjoy it!

Making the presentation wasn't very hard; I had put many screenshots of YouTube to show everyone, and even went on the actualy site to show a clip. The clip name was 'Pokemon theme song', which was really funny (even for someone like me who doesn't like Pokemon). I enjoyed sharing what I have researched to the class, and hoped that they actaully understood what I said :).



I learnt that YouTube can be used not only as an online video sharing site, but also a place to interact with people all over the world. However, it is not always the best place to go, since there are many copyright issues of people uploading movies, and dramas, as well as racism and bad jokes in home made movies.

THIS is my IT project part 2- a collage of you and your friends
These are all the photos that i cherish because they have my most awesomest friends in it! That's why i put them together all on one page
I used lasso tool to blend the edges together; then i set the blending mode for most of the layers- (i used 'normal', 'multiply' & 'soft light'). I also pressed 'Poster Edges' in Filter, and changed the picture into a more posterlized style (and I changed the base photo into inner glow).

THIS is my IT project part 1- a magazine cover
The main person featured in this magazine issue is Rainie Yang. I changed her original pink coloured clothing to green (becasue i like green) and i changed the snowy background into a brown leafy one (from brushes).
I really enjoed this project even though some parts were really hard to change (the colour of the clothing) but i think it turned out quite well ^^

“Bourne Ultimatum movie poster”

This picture comes from the movie Bourne Ultimatum (which i have never seen or heard of), but it looks like a pretty cool movie.
The photo with red jacket guy is the original picture, and the one below that (blue coloured) is done in photoshop.





I had a lot of fun trying out the motion blur tool in photoshop, I thought the process would be hard..but it was actually quite easy once you follow the steps.

INVESTIGATION

PNG-
PNG stands for Portable Network Graphics, it is designed to imporve and replace GIF. PNG supports grey-scale, RGB (red, green and blue) and RGBA (red, green, blue and alpha. It was made to transfer images from the internet but not for prinitng graphics.

JPEG-
JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group. It is designed as a method of lossy compression for photographic images; either full-colour or grey-scale digital image (mostly on natural ‘real-scenes’ of the world, as it does not work very well on cartoons or drawings)
Lossy: some original image information is lost and cannot be restored

GIF-
GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format. It supports up to 8 bits per pixel and for animation. The format is unsuitable to change into colour photographs (images with continuous color), however it is suitable for simpler images such as graphics or logos (images with solid area of colours).

All these formats are good for their purposes, so if i wanted to have animation, GIF would be my best option, however, if i wanted a smaller image size, JPEG would be best.

the background is Taipei 101, and the mokeys are yoyo and cici (two great combonation(Y))
i learnt how to use the lasso tool even better on photoshop..and made myself a new background. :]
